definition of a recording nightmare.....
person A has repeated trouble with a passage that person B has no problem with.
person A finally gets it right, and person B really messes up....
That's a huge FAIL....

- Brahms 1 in Winston-Salem
This week brings a return to one of my favorite homes away from home. I've played with this orchestra a number of times, and conducted them once. Last year I played my first Rhapsody in Blue with them, and now return for what is pretty much my favorite concerto, the titanic, volcanic Brahms 1st Piano Concerto. This piece demands the greatest level of physical, psychological, emotional resources, and stamina of any concerto. Yeah...... - Beethoven 5th Concerto
For the last several years, this university has hosted the Next Generation Festival, of which I'm the artistic director. They not only are renovating their music building, but have just made a purchase of a very lovely hall in Lancaster, former home of the Pennsylvania Academy of Music. I'm looking forward to seeing and playing in this space. - Beethoven 4th Piano Concerto
Haven't been back in over 15 yrs. Should be nice. I did my first Beethoven 1 there, now my umpteenth Beethoven 4. I've heard they've come a long way since then..... So have I!
